Access to Justice
We believe justice and equality are the heart of freedom. We promote human rights through awareness, legal aid, documentation of violations, and advocacy dialogues with local authorities.
The Haki Yangu Program ensures that structurally silenced community members know their rights, can claim them, and live free from violence and discrimination. We:
- Conduct “Know Your Rights” sessions to empower individuals with knowledge about their legal rights and responsibilities.
- Document and report human rights violations, including gender-based violence (GBV) and discrimination.
- Provide access to pro bono legal support and safe referrals through partnerships with trusted legal service providers.
- Engage duty bearers, community leaders, and law enforcement in advocacy dialogues to improve legal protection and accountability for marginalized groups.
