Rwenzori Community Care Clinic
Established in June 2024, the Rwenzori Community Care Clinic (RCCC) stands as a cornerstone of Twilight Support Initiative’s commitment to advancing health and wellbeing for rural marginalized and vulnerable populations in the Rwenzori Sub-region. Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
Recognizing the growing need for mental health care, the clinic incorporated trauma-informed counseling, peer support circles, and home-based care for individuals affected by violence, stigma, or isolation.
These services have become a vital lifeline for many who previously lacked access to such care.
Health is Dignity
At Twilight Support Initiative, we believe that access to healthcare is not a privilege but a human right.
Through the Rwenzori Community Care Clinic, we bring compassionate, inclusive, and accessible healthcare closer to those who need it most.
Looking Ahead (2025 and Beyond)
TSI aims to:
- Expand the range of clinic services, including maternal health, family planning, and chronic disease management.
- Establish a Wellness Hub to integrate physical and mental health services.
- Strengthen community health systems through outreach, advocacy, and partnerships.
- Enhance digital health systems for record management and data-driven decision-making.
Capacity Building and Partnerships
To improve service quality and sustainability, TSI conducted:
- Joint planning sessions with partners to improve access to HIV prevention and SRHR services.
- Digital skills training for 10 peers and staff to enhance data management and clinic operations.
- Inception meetings with over 20 healthcare service providers to assess community needs and barriers to access.
