Social Wellness, Safety & Protection
Healing and safety are collective responsibilities. We provide safe spaces, trauma healing sessions, and emergency response for survivors of violence or displacement.
Our Obhughirinde Program prioritizes community care, trauma healing, and protection for those facing violence or displacement. We:
- Facilitate peer-led safe space circles and intergenerational healing sessions to address stress, burnout, and collective trauma.
- Offer training and mentorship on safety, self-protection, and emergency preparedness to strengthen individual and collective resilience.
- Provide emergency response support for survivors of violence, homelessness, or crisis.
- Strengthen community-based safety networks, including the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and community paralegals, equipping them with tools and resources to respond to emergencies swiftly and safely.
